Columbia, South Carolina - Visitation for Ruthven "Pip" St. Clare Hutchison, 73, will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel. Pip died Tuesday, March 22, 2022. He was the owner of Sussex Motors. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Cathy Hutchison; daughter, Devon Saraniero (Andrew); and son, Alastair Hutchison. Memories may be shared at www.dunbarfunerals.com.

To: Cathy Hutchison and family
I am deeply saddened to have learned of the passing of Ruthven "Pip" Saint Clare Hutchison. In my opinion, he was an automotive mechanical and electrical genius. He provided exceptional and dependable automotive services and repairs to my motor vehicles for over thirty years.
I will also miss his very detailed one-on-one explanations of the work that was performed and his recommendations for prolonging the mechanical life of the vehicle. He treated me like I was his most valued customer and his charges were always fair.
Cathy, may your faith sustain you and the other members of your family during this time of deep sorrow. Pip, may you RIP. Your satisfied customer.
