Obituary

In his tiny hometown of St. Anne, Ill., Marine Capt. Ryan Beaupre was known for his unruly red hair and easy smile. He was the type to surrender his turn on the phone to other Marines with wives and children back home, family and friends said. Beaupre, a graduate of Bishop McNamara High School and Illinois Wesleyan University, died March 21 in a helicopter crash. He had joined the Marine Corps in 1995.

His parents Mark and Nichole have three other children, Alyse Keyes, Kari Leisure, and Christopher Beaupre.

Not sure what to say?

Memorial Day has been very difficult for me since Ryan passed. I loved working and flying with him. His quick smile and positive attitude was infectious. I would seek him out when I was having a long day at HMM-268. He will never be forgotten. Semper Fidelis, Major Dave Heronemus, USMC (Retired).

I hope that Captain Beaupre's family and all who loved him have found some peace in the years that have slipped by since his passing.

Thank you for your service & your ultimate sacrifice.

I never saw him without a smile on his face, still remember it to this day. Wishing you peace on this Memorial Day...

Hello,
We realize that we are very late to express our deepest condolences, but we wanted to let your family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and we'll be dedicating several of these to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and the hometown of Ryan Anthony Beaupre US Marine Captain. We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by...

Ryan was a Lieutenant in my Operations department (S-3) in the HMM-268 Red Dragons squadron of CH-46's. I think about Ryan every Memorial Day. To Ryan's family, he was what any leader would want in a young Lieutenant...hard working, energetic, willing and wanting to learn every day. He epitomized service above self and defense of a country he loved. Semper Fidelis, Ryan. -Major Brian McNamara, USMC(ret).

Thinking of Ryan today, honoring his memory and legacy.

Respected and remembered.

To the family and friends of Capt. Ryan Anthony Beaupre:
Always remembering Ryan. "Some gave all."
