Not sure what to say?

Dearest Rachel...It seems like just yesterday we were laughing and joking about how long it was taking to get through that crazy academy. I remember telling you it wouldn't last forever and it will get better. I loved to hear your silly stories about all of the stuff Ryan was going through every morning or that day in January when I stopped by to see you and you had the pictures from graduation. You were so proud of Ryan.
I know we talked about why stuff like this happens and I'd do...

As a police officer who traveled the same road as brother Cappelletty, McDowell, Edinboro Univ. Then a police dept in a strange city I can only wish you all the comfort in knowning that Ryan loved you and his job to take you there as he followed his calling. He is now patrolling the streets of heaven where he will allways feel the love you felt for him.

hey mama,
I have not seen you in a while and I am sorry that this is the reason for me to get in touch. you have my sympathy and you are in mine and amys thoughts and prayers. if there is anything I can do or if you just need to talk or anything. let me know. 434-848-9057

"So do not fear for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10

We love you, Rachel, and we are proud of Ryan. He loved you very much and did his job well to the very end. You are in our prayers.

Dearest Rachel and all members of Ryan's family,

I think of you all daily and the words "but for the grace of God go I" haunt me. As the wife of a 26 year veteran, I have thought about the day someone would knock at my door. As the mother of a murdered 24 year old daughter, I have felt your pain. It won't make much sense to you now, but I can say to you that time will slowly heal the pain you are feeling and your heart, which I know is broken, will begin to beat again. Hold on...

Rachel and Ryan's family,
I cannot believe what I have been reading in the paper. It seems like yesterday Ryan and I were having a conversation about the struggles of working in res life. It was practically yesterday that Ryan and I graduated, and I remember how President Pogue honored him during the ceremony. And I remember feeling so happy at that moment that someone so great was finally getting some recognition. And it seems like just yesterday that I read the wedding announcement...

Our prayers are with the entire Cappelletty family.

I'm very sorry for your family's loss. Such a tragic loss to you and the community. My prayers are with you.

Daughter of a Retired Police Officer

Rachel,

I was so saddened to hear of Ryan's untimely death and that was before I read the paper and found out that you were his wife. What little time you had together provides you with memories that can never be forgotten.

I add my prayers and condolences to you along with your other friends from Edinboro. I also extend prayers and condolences to Ryan's family.

I didn't know Ryan, but he must have been some kind of guy for you to fall in love with...
