Not sure what to say?

Dear Ryan
It's been a while since you left. I still think of you and remember your silly jokes, you bright smile and your crazy laugh. I think I'll never forget those. I can picture you sitting on my couch making jokes and laughing at everything and everyone. I miss you so much. Please wherever you r remember that we love you and always will. RIP monkey.

God bless you and your family. I think of you often.

Not a day goes by that i dont think about you. i miss your smile and the way you could make me laugh even when i was mad. never a dull moment with you, if we ever were bored i could turn to you for things to get exciting. i love you monkey you were my best friend i will never be able to replace you but someday soon enough ill see you again. until then keep smiling up there and have fun i know youre watching over me. stay outta trouble up there homie!

Joe and family, I am so deeply sorry for your tremendous loss. My heart aches for you during this difficult time. May God hold you all in the palm of His hands and give you comfort.

A recent source of deep inspiration for me in times like these is a book; Proof of Heaven, by Dr. Eben Alexander. I respectfully submit that this book could forever change how you view "death". I believe very much that Ryan is fully present, in a dimension just beyond our eyes. Pray for us, Ryan, we need it :-)

For those of you who would like to support Jill, Joe, and the rest of the family, please check out this page set up for Ryan's funeral funding :)

Any donations - small or large - will help the family out tremendously!

Jill and family, I am lost for words but certainly here to support any of your needs. The loss of our own Quinn Hoover last year leaves me reaching out for more answers (WHY). Ryan is a wonderful disciple for other youth to look up to so be proud of all of his accomplishments! He will certainly be missed by so many and all of us at St. Marks in Hagerstown are praying for you. I feel blessed to have shared time with him on the nights we hosted your amazing youth group on your way home from ASP!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family for healing over the loss of Ryan. And for Ryan and his eternal salvation, may his good works with ASP bring him home.

Dear Petrille Family, I share your pain. I am a member of St Marks Lutheran Church in Hagerstown. Last year, Ryan and the youth group stayed at our church as they have for several years. I was so proud of your youth for inspiring OUR youth to do an ASP trip also. But even more so, I we were blessed with your love, prayers and gifts. Thank You. You see, my son is Quinn Hoover. He passed away 13 months ago. Although the tragedy is different, the loss is the same. My heart breaks for you, but...
