Ryan Saucier Obituary

Ryan Matthew Saucier, 44, of Southington died Tuesday, March 7, 2023. He was the loving husband of Jill McAloon.

He was born June 12, 1978 in Oklahoma City, OK and was the son of Mark and Lori-Jo (Mackenzie) Saucier of Plantsville.

Ryan was a free spirit who lived life on his own terms. He had a contagious energy that drew people to him, and his charismatic personality and caring nature made him a beloved friend too many.

From the moment Ryan was born he brought great joy into his parent's life. Just his presence would light up a room. He spent the first couple of years of his life traveling with his parents while his father was in the Air Force and this was the beginning of the wanderlust that he developed. He was a kind, sweet, adventurous soul that loved putting a smile on our face.

At a young age Ryan worked closely with his father and grandfather (Pep`ere`) developing his carpentry craftsmanship. He had a natural talent and skill with a creative eye. His work was beautiful and timeless. Ryan was a joy to work with on the job site. Anyone that had the pleasure to do so enjoyed his company, knowledge and witty side. Ryan loved to laugh and tried to make most situations light with humor.

Growing up Ryan was very close to his family spending summers on Sebago Lake and Sundays at Nana's house with his sister, brother and cousins who will remember him for his warmth, kindness, and infectious laughter.

Later in life Ryan was able to share all of his experiences and joys with his wife Jill and daughter Ella. Ryan and Jill were high school sweethearts that reconnected years later. Their love was genuine and one of a kind that kept them connected all these years. They cherished their time together which was often spent on the go, traveling and enjoying their favorite outdoor activities.

Ryan enjoyed being outdoors always ready for the next adventure or challenge. He learned a lot over the years and his favorite times were spent teaching his daughter Gabriella (Ella) his knowledge of fishing, hiking, camping, cliff jumping, snorkeling, diving for clams, riding bikes, driving a boat & skiing just to name a few.

Along with Ryan's active side, he was a natural with almost anything he tried. He had a fond love of music, movies, setback, fires (with gasoline) and anything extraterrestrial. His view of the secrets of the world were expansive. His friends will remember him as a free spirit, adventurer, gifted carpenter, and genuine friend, who left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Rest in peace Ryan, and may your continue to inspire us to live life to the fullest. Your talent, passion, and kind heart will always be remembered.

In addition to his wife and parents he leaves his daughter, Gabriella (Ella) of Southington; a sister, Katherine Saucier of Plantsville; brother, Zachary Saucier and wife Amanda of Bristol; his nieces and nephews who he adored, Mitchell, Maximus, Raven, Zander, Dallas; Elora Leigh. Uncles and aunts, Clifford & Susan Saucier of Southington, Arthur & Cathy Myers of Blufton, SC, EJ & Carolyn Saucier of Nipomo, CA, Donald & Rita MacKenzie of Southington and Kenneth & Debra Saucier of Bristol. His father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Roberta McAloon of Southington; brother-in-law James McAloon and wife Katelyn and their two children of Southington and sister-in-law Jessica McKinstry and husband Jon and their three children of Southington. He was predeceased by Grandparents Alberie and Laurette Saucier, Thelma Ballard Badgley, Donald Mackenzie Sr. and Aunt Diana Saucier Chamberland.
