Not sure what to say?

I am extremely sorry to learn of the passing of one of the kindest, most helpful and generous persons I've ever known. Downtown Harrisburg hasn't been the same since you've left us, and never will. We miss your endless smile, and the nicknames you gave everyone. Speedy...you're sprinting all over Heaven now. Rest in peace, dear friend. "Indiana Jones and Joyce DeWitt"

Dear Summers Family,
I was sad to hear about Ryan's passing. We were friends from the old St. Francis Days 6-8th grade-he had an infectious smile and was a really great listener. I remember the many laughs we had at school and during our camping trip. Ryan is truely unforgettable and will be missed.

Rick, Dave
Please except my deepest sympathy on Ryan. Ryan, thank you for being a positive person and not letting anything stand in your way on wanting to talk to me and being a loyal and compassionate friend.

Richard,

Although I have not seen the family in many years, I remember Ryan from your days at St. Francis of Assisi. Ryan would sit around the second or third pew in his wheelchair and it was always wonderful to see him at Mass. I am sure his delightful smile will be missed by many people.

Speedy--I could always count on you to make me feel safe on those many nights that I kept Perks n Bribes open until 1am....your smile always brightened our day...you will be missed by all of us....

Summers Family,

Accept my apologies for the last entry as it was cut short. I knew Ryan well before he was given the nick name "Speedy." I spent 6th,7th, and 8th grades with Ryan at St. Francis grade school. Ryan was funny, creative and could always bring a smile to a crowd. Who could forget when Ryan would use his wheelchair to perform tricks and wheelies throughout the school lot! He was one of a kind and never let his disabilities stand in his away of being the great person...

You will be deeply missed Speedy, You enriched all thoses who took the time to enjoy your company, humor, enthusiasm for life. Thanks for your tireless efforts keeping a watchful eye on us when you were here in Harrisburg, I trust you will continue to do the same...from a more glorious vantage point now! God Bless you and my sympathies to your family. Tom Zugay

Summers Family,

I knew Ryan well before he was given the nick name "Speedy." I spent 6th

I worked at Scott's Grille downtown and it was one of those rare jobs where everybody is like family. Speedy was a very big part of that family. If I was havin a bad day, all it took was to hear Speedy come in and shout my name from clear across the restaurant and it would completely make my day. On behalf of all of the regulars and all of the staff from Scott's Grille that knew Speedy, we love you Speedy and we will miss you very much.
