Not sure what to say?

I just watched Charles Kuralt's story on Wali's citizenship ceremony at Monticello on the 4th of July. Very moving. Wali was obviously a caring person and an asset to his adopted country.

Dear Angie, Austin, & family,

Like everyone else, I'm very sad to hear of Wali's passing. I just learned of it. What a kind and thoughtful man he was! We were all blessed to know him and to share in his good humor, hope, and love of teaching and learning. And what a valiant fight he waged in the face of serious illness! Were it not for Dr. Abdi, I would not be "Dr. Frass." I will keep your family in my prayers and lift you all up to our Good Lord. Love, John Frassinelli

Dear Abdi Family,

I am so sorry, Angie, about the loss you are going through right now and please know that my prayers are with you and your family. It sounds like your husband was a wonderful person and made an impact on others' lives just as you did on mine.
God Bless

Dr. Abdi was, without a doubt, my favorite professor of all time. He made graduate school fun, and inspired many, many of us to make school fun for our students. His joyful attitude and kind guidance made him so unique. This is why he was loved by so many.
My prayers are with his family. I know he will be greatly missed.

Dear Aunt Angie and cousin Auston,
I'm sorry for your loss. I am heartbroken and I'm sure you are too. Uncle Wali was very funny and nice. I will cherish my memories of him forever.
Love,
Ethan

Dear Uncle Wali,
I will miss you, especially your humor and your caring nature. I am sorry that Angie and Auston and your kids will not have you as they grow older. I know you're in Heaven having a great time, but we here on earth mourn your loss.
Much love,
Farah Abdi Buck
