S. Hallock Du Pont Jr.

Hal was a remarkable person in many walks of life. My family connection was through the Civil Air Patrol back in the 1960s and 1970s. My family is sadden to learn of his death in 2021. They join me in sending our deepest sympathy and love. The Paul Winton Turner family of Nashville, Tennessee. Nancy Turner Wilson and Pat Turner Jumonville.

Hal DuPont and his family will be in my prayers. As a young person I have many fond memories of his enthusiastic support inspired young folks to participate in civil air patrol. He helped many us to become aware that we could serve our community in ways we may never have thought about before... (ie: Air search and rescue)...
I remember his kindness and his smile he was always quick to smile and encourage us. May God bless him and his family.

I met Hal as a 15 year old Civil Air Patrol cadet. He was dedicated to the program and gave all of us encouragement and lasting memories. It was at a CAP party, at his home, I met my husband. Many of us were lucky to share those memories with him, at a CAP reunion in 2004, in Orlando, lots of laughs, pictures and the stories! He will be missed by so many.

I met Hal at the Grand American trapshoot in the late 80s.He was a true gentleman,and will be missed everyone in the shooting sports.
