Not sure what to say?

Dear Catherine, Susan, and John,

I first met your parents when they returned from Florida. They purchased a townhome I had listed; then when they were building their home in Galveston, they were kind enough to call on me to help them sell the townhome. After they were settled in Galveston Sammye invited me down to visit. They were lovely people, and I'll treasure the delightful memories I have of them both. I have you and your families in my thoughts and prayers.

Catherine, Susan And John,
We have some great memories and we will remember the good times we shared with Sammye and Gus. He was a great brother-in-law and a dear uncle to all of my children. He and Sammye had some wonderful times and we will always keep the good memories. We are thinking of all of you. Our love

Gus was a brilliant and fun guy to be around. He was a member of our little hunting club, the Hat Creek Hunting Club, on the Renner Ranch near Mountain Home, Texas. We had lots of fun out there with Judge Norman Lee, Judge Phil Warner, Bill De La Garza, Steve Schweizer, and me. Gus and his son John shot one of the largest hogs ever shot on that ranch as it took up the entire bed of a pickup truck! He was a legal legend and a gentleman of the old school. We miss you Gus and happy hunting my...

I first knew Gus as a skilled sailor a good shipmate while crewing on Argo, later as a superb and wonderfully fair attorney while serving as an expert witness on a case of his, when my findings turned out to be adverse. In whatever venue, he was a most remarkable human being.

Susan,

I want you to know that I am thinking of you and your family during this difficult time. Take care of each other. HYC is such a beautiful place to share memories. I know you will be surrounded by love and care.

We both knew Sammye and Gus as next door neighbors on Burgoyne and cruised with them on his last big boat. I might occasionally take a few cents from Gus at golf but he always got it back at gin. A wonderful gentleman.

"Mr. Gus" was a special favorite to each of his Comfort Keepers. It was our pleasure and our honor to serve him and the Kolius family. We will hold you in our prayers and in our hearts.

Mr. Kolius was a gentleman and it was a privilege to know him. He will be missed by his family and friends.
