Not sure what to say?

I am very sorry to hear of Scott's passing. We were out of the country and had no idea. I enjoyed his company. We had a shared love of vinyl , and Scott shared his journal habit - writing for his grandchildren. I started writing my own journals as a result. My condolences to the family.

I think about you often, remembering how awesome you are. Miss you, RIP Dr. Stapleton. Blessings to your family.

Like so many others , I loved him. He saved my son's eye and Duke told us he was one of their best. I was best friends with his mother so I watched him grow up. His mother adored him and admired him,she always knew he would be a great man. I know he is with his Lord and with his mom and dad now-heaven is a good place to celebrate Christmas but we miss you being on earth Scotty. Nancy Lou Beard

When my son wanted contacts at 13 years old, at first Dr Stepleton said no, but changed his mind. He was a wonderful ophthalmologist always caring for his patients. God Bless his family

So sorry for your loss, Dr. Stapleton was a fine man and eye doctor. My prayers are with the family and he will be missed by all.

We were on the AG basketball team together. I remember one summer when he came back from basketball camp I was over at his house. He had taken a pair of swim goggles and covered the bottom half of the lenses with tape. These were his dribbling goggles that he used to practice how to dribble without looking at the ball. I was impressed with his determination.

So sorry to hear of Dr Stapleton's passing. He was my eye Dr and he uncovered a retina tear that was causing me to go blind. He subsequently sent me to Duke and it was repaired. I give credit to God for my healing...but God had placed me in Dr Stapleton's care because God knew Dr Stapleton would discover the problem. He will always have a special place in my heart. God bless him and his loved ones.

Scotty was a great friend and Exchange Club brother. He always had a smile and a clever quip to share with anyone in his company. He was well read and able to make valuable contributions to most sensible conversations regardless of the topic. His sense of humor was keen and understated. He had command of social graces and could brighten any room he entered. I will miss my friend but will long remember the laughs we shared. My love and prayers are with you Caro Lee.

So sorry for your lost -he was always "the beautiful boy" His mother was my best friend and I will always remember Scotty outside the house playng basketball. He operated on my son McRae's eye and did such a great job for him. We know he is celebrating Christmas with his Lord.
