CLINTON, South Carolina
S. David Prince WHITMIRE, SC - S. David Prince, age 77, of 101 N. Main St. passed away Thursday, September 5th at the Mary Black Hospital in Spartanburg, SC. He was born in Whitmire and was a son of the late Samuel Franklin and Minnie Bell White Prince. Mr. Prince retired from Cone Mills Carlisle Plant. He was U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of the SC National Guard. Surviving are his wife, Joan Prince, of the home; son David Prince (Chrissie) of Florence; daughters Donna Brock (Randy) of Whitmire, Rhonda McCall of Rock Hill, and Bonnie Pressley (Barry) of Whit-mire; brother Tommy Prince of Whitmire; sisters Frances Erskine of Whitmire, Margie Felker of Whitmire, Lula Harrison of Laurens, and Dorothy Stewart of Union; ten grandchildren, David Prince, Jr., Lucas Prince, Grayson Prince, Gina Brock, Daniel Brock, Amber Cabiness, Heather Carvalho, Rebecca Pettit, Jessica Pressley, and Nicole Pressley; as well as four great grandchildren, Nathan Rector, Jayden Rector, Madelyn Pettit, and Tyler Salley. Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 8th at 2:00 PM at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Whitmire followed by burial with military honors in the Whitmire Cemetery.
