SABINA “SHEILA” BERNADETTE SAMMON (nee Heneghan) went to meet her angels in heaven April 29, 2021. Greeted by those who have gone before her including her husband, Paddy, her daughters Kathy Ratcliffe (Kevin), Mary McCarthy (Jim), 11 of her brothers and sisters, and her dearest friends. She is survived by her sister Patsy Walsh in Ireland, and her children, Tricia Sherry (Brendan), Jimmy Sammon (Peggy Ginley), Teresa Lichtcsien (Keith), Eileen Sammon, and Peggy Sammon (Joe Lobozzo). Mom was born in Glenhest, County Mayo, Ireland. She came to Cleveland in 1955. She was an incredible, lively, adoring and loving Nana to all of her grandchildren: Matt, Nora (Alan), Brendan (Hallie), Bryan, Jimmy, Jack (Annmarie), Danny, Patrick, Jason (Jenna), Liam (Ann), Erin, Sam, Meredith, Joey, Charlie, Rowan, and Sabina, and her great-grandchildren: Lily, Miles, Paddy, Veda, and Esther. Nothing was more important to her than her family, her rosary, and a good cuppeen of tea. She looked forward to planting her flowers every spring, creating charm in the neighborhood for years. Mom fattened up all of the birds and never let a dog pass without love and treats. Funeral Mass Tuesday, May 4, St. Clement Church (14401 Madison Ave., Lakewood) at 12 Noon. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of CLEVELAND, 4420 ROCKY RIVER DR. AT PURITAS, TUESDAY 9:30 A.M. – 11:30 A.M. Please observe all Covid-19 safety guidelines.
