Sacheen made her mark! She was a role model for many of us, Native American Indian women.
It was an honor to serve on the Board of Directors at the American Indian Aids Institute with Sacheen. Her help was instrumental in the fight against AIDS in the S.F. Bay Area.
When she made her amazing appearance on the Academy Awards stage, she stood for Indigenous Rights and delivered her message to the world.

All the recent controversy aside. Sacheen is a shining example of walking the red road, loving, generous yet standing in her truth with a warrior spirit. She did so much for so many. May any one of us affect as much positive change as she in the face of such adversity. Rest in peace, my dear friend Sacheen.
We had so many wonderful times together. The photo is of us at a gala opening with an actor portraying Merlin, the magician.
