My deepest sympathy to Sadie's dear family. Sadie was my mentor/teacher in how to operate in a restaurant kitchen. She had a wealth of knowledge and experience which she shared with me helping me be successful in teaching my students at the career center. I am deeply indebted to her and consider her a saintly friend. I have such fond memories of our wonderful shared times. Rest In Peace my lovely, loving friend.

"When an elder dies it's like burning a library," a proverb from Ivory Coast, Africa is how I regard the blessed life of our Mother Sadie. As an ancestor we now call on her with love in anticipation of great things. In life she took our questions to heart and always gave two answers. She answered with the pragmatic mind of her own The Great generation; but, with her mind she also gave us the benefit of hope and great expectation that comes with the innocent exuberance of a nascent new age. ...

Dearest Family,
Aunt Sadie was one of the best. She would light up a room with her contagious laughter and stories. I always looked forward to her coming to family gatherings. When she held our family reunion , in her home several years ago, it poured like the dickens outside, all day. But inside was a ray of sunshine having her at the head of the table. I will miss her very much !

Joe, Donna and Family, I am sorry to hear of your loss. I hope the loving memories you have will comfort you during this difficult time. You are all in our prayers.
