Gloucester City – On March 26, 2022. Age 75. Loving husband of 40 years to Linda A. Russell (nee Alfred). Beloved father of Michele Snyder (Jay), Sage IV (Sara), Beth Russell (Mike B.). Cherished grandfather of James, Erin, Jacob, Mason, Sage V and Koa. Beloved brother of Lorraine, Nora and Sandra and brother-in-law of Patricia.


Sage was born in Camden, NJ to the late Sage C. Russell, Jr. and Nora M. (nee Olsen). He was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Camden, class of 1966. Sage was a member of the US Naval Sea Cadets in Camden from 1959–1965. He went on to proudly serve our country in the U.S. Navy from 1966 to 1968 and was a recipient of the National Defense Service Ribbon. Sage was very active in Boy Scouts over the years. He was a member of Troop 14 in Camden from 1957-1959, Committee Member of Troop 35 Beth Israel Synagogue from 1969-1973 and a Committee Member of Troop 165 at Highland Park Church of God in Gloucester City. Sage retired as a Police and Fire Signal System Repairer for the City of Camden in 2004 after 31 years and was on the Board of Trustees for Camden County Council #10. 


Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Friday, April 1st from 11 AM to 1 PM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Remembrances shared and Military Honors will be rendered at 1 PM in the funeral home.
