To the Rafidi Family,
My sympathy on the death of your husband, father and grandfather. As I grew up in Gentilly, I would go to Mr. Said's shoe repair shop with my dad or mom, Edgar and Claire, to drop off or pick up our shoes. I can still remember the smell of leather and the friendly wave from Mr. Said. He would always have a nice smile and could fix ANYTHING. What an example of a hard working, kind man.

I have fond memories of Mr. Rafidi as a very good and kind man when I lived in New Orleans. He repaired all my family's shoes from the time I lived in Gentilly and the Lakefront. God rest his soul and Peace to his family and friends. -Svend Jensen, Franklin, TN
