Not sure what to say?

Sal I am now 65 years old myself. I used to love when the A's would come to Tiger Stadium. At the time y Grand Father was the age I am now. I thank you, Catfish, Vidal Blue, Reggie and the entire A's organization for stirring up Detroit's baseball lovers.

As friends of Sal Jr and Sonny, we would like to extend our heartfelt condolences. We are deeply saddened to hear of your loss and will continue to keep your entire family in our prayers. ~John & Courtney Warren

Special note to Sandy and family: As a 9 year old boy in Livingston, NJ I was a patient in St. Barnabas hospital. I was fortunate to have a very special nurse Sandy Fortunato caring for me. She knew I was a Yankees fan and we talked about baseball. Sandy asked me if I had ever heard of Sal Bando. Of course from my baseball card collection I knew who he was. Sandy asked me if I wanted an autographed picture and that she was engaged to Sal. It was thrilling for me and my family to watch Sal...

Sal Bando was one of the Great Milwaukee Brewers. God Bless

Irreplaceable. That describes Sal Bando. One of those people you meet and will never forget. I had the honor to call him my friend, my brother. Taught me many life lessons with "few" words and "more" actions. Sandy and Sal´s love affair was infectious. I (and the world) will miss him. Sandy, our deepest of sympathies. Love you. RIP in heavenly glory George Bogdanovich

Sandy, I´m not sure if you remember me, this is Candy Henes. Brion and I were extremely sad to hear of Sal´s passing. Such a sad loss. He was a wonderful, kind compassionate man and the world will be a different place without him. Brion and I have such fond loving memories of knowing you and Sal some years back now. Your youngest was a baby the last I remember coming to your home. You and Sal were instrumental in walking alongside Brion and I at a time in our marriage when we really...

Worked closely for and with this gentleman for almost a decade and a half. I wish everyone on planet earth could have done the same, they would then be smitten as I was with his virtuous, even handed approach to all people and corporate issues. His bearing was authoritative but never hinted of dominance. He heard, but importantly listened. Sal was dependable as the rising sun. He oozed integrity and his loyalty held you close. Despite his fame and fortune, never would one notice even a...

What an incredible career, he had. Mr. Bando was a great baseball player. Prayers for the Bando family, may God be with you all.

Dear Sandy, My condolences to you and your family. A true lover of baseball, I appreciate the great leadership and talent Sal brought to the game. I remember bumping into you in South Orange, NJ the day before you would be marrying Sal. You were so happy, nervous, and excited. How fortunate you both were to have each other. I know the memories of your years together will warm your heart forever. Sincerely, Michael Cirasella
