Salima Khan, 80, died Sunday, February 3, 2019, at home in White Plains MD. She leaves behind her husband of 63 years, Mohamed Zamalodeen Khan; her daughters Shereen Joseph and Nazrine Deokinandan, her sons Nasseer Khan and Nazim Khan, her son-in-law David Joseph, daughter-in-law Vanila Khan, her granddaughters Nafeeza Ramlochan, Rafeena McCuiston, Rafiah Khan, Asiyah Khan, her grandsons Rayaaz Khan and Sean Joseph, and great grand kids, Jasmine, Alania, Josh and Jaxon. She was the sister of Rudy Osman, Rudy Sankar, Halima Naidoo, Fazie and Fareeda Osman and the late Sheik Mohamed Saheed and Shiek Nisam Osman. Salima was born and raised in Guyana, migrated to the US in 2000 and since settled in the DMV area. She was a champion in her own rights and a perfect example of genuine love and compassion. She had a big heart and even though her mobility was restricted for almost 3 decades, she was the most adorable and contended person anyone ever knew. She has always been a symbol of light, hope and encouragement, a light that will forever shine and a smile that will be solely missed by many. On Tuesday, February 5, 2019, visitation will be from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM and funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM at Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home, 2294 Old Washington Rd., Waldorf, MD 20601 Interment will be held at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman Beantown Rd, Waldorf, MD 20601, following the service.
