I'm broadsided by the news of Sallie's passing - she was larger than life in life; it's hard to imagine her not here with us still. No other person could create waves the way she did, could fully engage in life and its struggles like she did, could welcome everybody into her heart - her big heart - the way she did. Thinking of you now and always, Sallie.
