Not sure what to say?

Auntie, I have fond memories of you as a child and my mother speaking so highly of you. I remember visits your beautiful home and your beautiful spirit. May all the Booker women and their descendants continue to be blessed with your spirit and talent.

Dear Quincy and Veronica:

I am so shocked to hear of your mother’s homegoing. I found out about this today via the Internet. I cannot put into words how saddened I am by this news.

I’ll never forget your mother’s generosity during the time I was in school at GA Tech during the late 70’s and early 80’s. I still remember the many, many meals, the trips to your grandmother’s home east of Atlanta, the trips to the malls, etc. (smile) She made being away from home not...

Words cannot express my sadness at hearing of the loss of such a remarkable woman. Rev. Parrish's love, warmth, and kindness meant so much to me when I worked at Central UMC, was a member, and when I sang under her lead with the Voices of Central and the choir at Allgood Road UMC. Her beauty - inside and out - will NEVER be forgotten.

I know you are directing the angelic choir in heaven, Rev. Parrish. See you when I get there!

I want to express my deepest sympathy to the family of Mrs. Sallie Parrish. We will miss this beautiful light in our presence. She was truly a beautiful person who enjoyed singing and directing. I am glad I had the honor of meeting her.

Rev. Sallie Kate Booker Parrish, my friend and confidante, I will never forget when I met this great woman of God at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, back in the late 70's, early 80's. I was employed by her construction company, it was so funny because I never saw myself working in construction. It was brief but fun. Sallie taught me how to be a lady, she worked with me on my singing abilities, I could go on forever. My heart hurts, my memories are fond; I will never ever forget all that...

I will truly miss Mrs. Parrish. I got to know her more during her convalesce. The conversations, her smiles will always stay with me, especially the one after the concert at Central. I am glad I told her how thankful I was to her about "Gospel Christmas" and how she allowed the children to sing including my son, that was an experience I will never forget. Rest In Peace. Love Antoinette Montgomery

To Veronica and Quincy,
I want to express my deepest sympathy to both of you at the loss of your mother. She was my best friend in high school. Sean and Anna also wanted you to know that they loved her too. She is such a kind and loving person.May God bless you as you remember that we love you also.
Your God mother,

Our loss...heaven's gain.

I attended the Gospel Christmas at Symphony Hall yesterday and my thoughts were of Sallie Parrish. Her spirit was truly there. She will be missed here on earth but we all look forward to the day we see her along with all of our loved ones and friends.

Know that you are wrapped and kept in God's love.

I never got to meet her but she was my great aunt. She was the sister to my grandmother the late Elizabeth Booker Gresham of Washington Ga. My pray goes out to her family.
