Not sure what to say?

This some of the saddest news i have received. She were my employer for more than 14 years. She were dear to me. Kind and compassionate when i lost three family members while in her employ. I felt close to her.she were there for me. My heart goes out to the family especially her mother. Please know that i feel the loss .we kept in touch for awhile and she had been on my mind of late and this is why. I will always remember her with love. May God continue to blesd your family and give you...

Dr. Porter made a lasting impact on my life in the way she supported me and enouraged me as a new PhD student at Rutgers. She was already so smart, but also very open to learning new things. One of my favorite memories was the way she would listen with her whole heart as I would talk about the new research I was exploring and excited about. We collaborated on things together that we thought would strengthen the nursing community and we often talked idealistically about the ways we could use...

I am very sad to learn of Sallie's passing. I served on the Board of Hudson Cradle and saw her dedication and love for the babies. For many years she was a shining star in the non-profit community in Hudson County.

I only knew Dr. Porter for three months, and she significantly impacted my life. I adored her so much. Her death is one of my biggest shocks. I pray for God to give her family and friends the strength to endure this difficult time.

I'm so sorry to know of her passing. She was an example of kindness and caring for all.

Dr. Porter was a kind and committed person. She was a leader as a researcher around diaper need. We will miss her terribly. Joanne Goldblum, National Diaper Bank Network

I was truly shocked and saddened to hear about Sallie's death. We had a shared interest in infant and early intervention. I was happy to support her growth as a faculty person during my tenure as Associate Dean of Research at the School of Nursing and she in turn supported my early efforts to develop a research study group on Infancy. The School and Rutgers Center of Developmental Disabilities have lost a dedicated medical educator and passionate advocate for care of the very young and the...

One of the people who made a significant impact in my life was Dr. Sally Porter, my mentor during my time at Rutgers University. Not only was Sally an expert in her field, but her ability to connect with students on a deep level made her an invaluable asset to the Rutgers community.

With her expertise, charm, and amiable personality, Sally's presence was a pleasure to have around. Her passion for teaching and guiding her students was contagious, and her door was always...

In loving memory and gratitude to Dr Sallie Porter-nurse educator, researcher, and compassionate advocate for children and families who are often unseen by the larger society. She was the Nursing Faculty Discipline Coordinator for NJLEND-Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities at The Boggs Center on Developmental Disabilities, providing education and research to students across disabilities. A devoted educator and role model, Sallie Porter is deeply missed. May her family,...
