Sallie Viola Taylor
Mrs. Taylor, 89, of Charlotte, died Friday, October 22, 2004 at Presbyterian Hospital - Matthews.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Monday, October 25, 2004 at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 26, 2004 from the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn East Cemetery.
Mrs. Taylor was born December 25, 1914 in Pineville, NC, a daughter of the late Henry Clay Sanders and Annie Smith Sanders. She formerly worked for Highland Park Mill and retired in 1974 as a Baker from the Charlotte - Mecklenburg Public Schools. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Taylor as well as seven sisters and five brothers.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by her beloved husband of seventy-two years, Ervin Elliot Taylor; son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Shirley Taylor of Indian Trail; daughter-in-law, Cathy Taylor of Huntersville; sisters, Lillie Long and Louise Sosebee both of Charlotte; brother, Ernest Sanders of Chester, VA; three grandsons; one granddaughter; one great granddaughter; two great grandsons; and one great great granddaughter.
Arrangements by McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel.
