Not sure what to say?

I met Sallie in 1974 in Grand Junction CO when she and Bob visited my brand new husband, Bill Yorty. I remember feeling that Sallie was an exceptional person...beautiful, empathetic, intelligent. I have thought about her many times over the years and know that she is greatly missed by family and friends.

It's still hard to imagine that Sallie is gone. She was so vibrant, kind, talented...a great mom. I miss you, old friend!!!!!

When my daughter, Peggy , arrived in SLO to begin her college career, we all found out that no one had completed the dorm form that was required. Oh dear! Sallie saved the day by inviting Peggy to live at her home until we could sort it all out. Thanks to Sallie, Peggy had a safe, comfortable place to live and could begin her course and studies. Such generosity was a huge part of who Sallie was. Karen Card

This photo of Sally is how I will always remember her...with that lovely smile! I'm so sorry for your loss, Morgan and Evan. The world was a better place with your Mom in it.

It seems impossible that Sallie has passed! She was always so full of life and enthusiasm (and kindness) She and Bob and daughters have been very special friends to my family. She will be very much missed! Bob, Morgan and Evan will be in our thoughts along with beautiful Sallie!!!

Sallie sang as part of our Monday evening Grappa Group for years and years. She totally owned Crescent City and Carmelita. All 12 +/- of us will miss her smile and harmonies. Keep on singing Sallie, Turko

Always the most friendly and loving human, Sallie offered our daughter a place to stay when Peggy´s housing for Cal Poly got complicated as a freshman. Her kindness and generosity will always be remembered as well as her beautiful smile.

Whenever we were fortunate enough to visit and enjoy Sallie--in her home in San Luis Obispo, in San Diego and in Kauai-- we basked in her POSITIVITY and warmth. Her generosity of spirit was evident to Tom and I, and we extend our love and support to her family, our Chiriboga clan, and all who counted her a friend. Tom and Cristina Hahn
