Sally Bakes

I was thinking of Sally this holiday season (2022) and did a Google search to discover Sally's passing. I was one of St. Luke's volunteers who worked in the gift shop. During the beanie baby craze, Sally would take me to the stockroom to see which one I wanted to buy. She was always ready to listen if I was having a problem. I considered her a friend and have lost touch with her over the years. Sally was a very nice lady and worked hard to make the gift shop a success for St. Luke's Auxiliary.

Sending prayers and love to you Susan and your sisters. I have such wonderful memories of our families getting together when we were young and our fathers would go hunting. When I would see her at the hospital gift shop over the years, she was gracious and always asked about my mom and our family. Having lost my mom in 2014, I understand how difficult this is for all of you. Just remember her love and all the wonderful memories that will always be in your hearts. Love, Sandy DeNinno Lee

So much to remember about Sally. Shared dinners, recipes, BBQs, and as wives of hunters, we spent a lot of time trying new ways to make believe we were eating chicken and beef. Our daughters were very young when we met. We roamed and shopped around San Diego and San Francisco when I was living in those cities. Sad to hear of Sally's passing. Lots of happy memories of our families visiting and playing together back in the 60's and 70's.
