NEW BOSTON-Sally Jo Blakeman, 69, of New Boston, Ohio passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. She was born in Ironton, Ohio on October 25, 1951 to the late Harold and Lydia (McCoy) Blakeman.
Sally was a graduate of Green High School. She graduated from Shawnee State College with an Associates Degree in Marketing. She worked as an insurance agent for AIG Insurance. Sally was a spiritual, strong, independent woman who carried a spunky personality. Though genuine at heart, she always had an opinion and was never afraid to give a little tough love. Sally liked keeping her house looking immaculate and organized. Her home could be found decorated with the things she loved like butterflies and angels. Her favorite color was purple and she loved coffee. Sally enjoyed bass fishing and almost caught the largest bass. She loved being on the boat and traveling all over.
Sally is survived by and affectionately known as Momma to two daughters, Melissa (Mike Gibson) Bundy and Sheri (Michael Conley) Bundy; MamMam to three grandchildren, Morgan (Alex England) Bundy, Nick (Chasaty) Bundy and Lexi Scoular; Great MamMam to one, Parker Bundy; brother, Dale (Barb) Blakeman; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Harold E. Blakeman Jr. and Ronnie (Bonnie) Blakeman.
A memorial gathering will be held from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Porter Township Community Center, 408 Bulwer Street, Wheelersburg, Ohio 45694. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to have served the family.
