Not sure what to say?

We moved next door to Sally and her family lived all those years ago in Fort Wayne. She and my mom became good friends, and my brothers were good friends with her sons. I will never forget that Sally taught me to skip! I adored her clothes: even at my tender age, I could see that the fabrics and her sense of style were amazing. She had a strong personality, and she was a lively person. Sally wasn't confused about what she liked or disliked! After my mom died, I found a gift from Sally...

i met sally in july of 1989 when i was just 17 years old, and worked in her gardens on and off for the last 24 years; regularly since 1998. she was one of a kind. there isn't enough room in this guestbook to cover all that she taught me, or her many quirks and eccentricities. i grew up with her. and will miss her. always

Sally taught me to love others, to be firm in my beliefs, and to care about little things like crossing my ankles and introducing myself with my full name. Her dedication to our chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma leaves a legacy and an example for all of her sisters to follow. I feel honored to have known such an incredible woman.

As a Hillsdale Kappa from 1994-1997, I will always remember Sally's imprint, from the manners she instilled in us ("never divorce the salt & pepper") to her savvy style (from her fleur-de-lis jeans to the beautiful blue living room at the Kappa House). She was a classy woman who spent a lifetime instilling virtues & etiquette on multiple generations of women. Her legacy will be remembered!

Sally was a very special lady. I am deeply sorry for your loss. As a recent Hillsdale graduate and Kappa, I hold fond memories with Sally from not long ago dear in my heart. A truly classy woman and role model- she will be dearly missed.

SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. MAY YOU DRAW CLOSE TO GOD BY READING HIS WORD, AND FIND COMFORT IN THE HOPE HE GIVES US ALL OF SEEING OUR LOVED ONES AGAIN IN A PARADISE HERE ON EARTH.

Mrs. G devoted her life and time to so many woman, and so many generations at the Kappa house in Hillsdale. She taught us the proper way of doing things even when we didn't appreciate it at the time. Now there are things I will never forget..always light a candle wick...Mrs. G. you will always be remembered for your class, devotion and love of "your girls"...you were a treasure that only the Kappa Hillsdale house had! It was an honor to know you.

Oh Sally, I uncrossed my knees and crossed my ankles as I sat down to type this. I am so grateful for all the ways you enriched Kappa chapter members' lives. You truly were an ideal advisor and Kappa, giving both your time and your wisdom to the girls at 221 Hillsdale Street.
