Not sure what to say?

Sally and.I dated in high school and when I was in the USAF stationed in Lexington MA, I would visit her many times at Pine Manor. We would often go on trail rides up on October Mountain. I moved to Colorado after college and lived in Evergreen. When I would visit my family in Pittsfield I would visit Sally. She gave my daughter Kristen an exciting ride once around the ring... I am now married living in Heber City, UT where we own a horse and ride Dressage. MY competed for many years... I...

To Ken and Matt, I’m very sorry for your loss of a beautiful person inside and out. I started riding with Overmeade when I was 6 years old at Kimball Farms before the barn was built. Sally and Overmeade saved my life in many ways I have so many memories and it made for the best childhood I could have asked for. Sally and Overmeade felt like my second home and always will, She taught me so many life lessons along with riding I learned everything about the whole sport from the ground up. I...

To Ken and Matt,
I look back at the years of my youth and can’t think of a tune when I grew more as a person than I did while at Overmeade. So many memories of hearing Sally yelling “Matthew” when he and I were getting into something which was quite often. She truly was a one of a kind person who treated everyone with compassion and respect. Sally and Kenny cleared out a room to make another stall for my horse when the stable I was at closed. She will always be remembered by the...

To Ken, Matt and Sally’s family, I am so sorry for your loss. What a beautiful tribute. I am one of Sally’s “barn rats” and remember the fantastic community at Overmeade. She was truly my barn mom. Thirty five years later, I am still applying the lessons she taught me both in the saddle and out. Rest In Peace, Sally. Your memory and positive influence live on in the hearts and minds of so many.
With deepest condolences,
Anne Carman May

Beautifully said Matt. Your mom was certainly a second mother to alot of us. Teaching us not only to ride but the whole package of what it means to be a true horseman. All the while dealing with the baggage that comes with teenage girls. Looking the other way when I would skip class to go to the barn. Oh the stories she took with her from the generations of mischief. Hugs to you all. XOXO

Matt--such a beautiful tribute to your Mom! She was such a key figure in the lives of so many adults and kids, and she taught so much more than riding and horsemanship. Everyone will miss her greatly. Sending love to you all! Ellen and David

Kenny and family May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

So sorry to read of Sally's passing. She was a great lady, keen business woman, and had an immense understanding of horses and children. I fondly remember Sally overseeing the Overmeade group at a horse show at Springate where my son, Mike road old Dock and proudly brought home honors. She is not only a loss to her family, but to the community as well.
