Professor Marks was a true intellectual who inspired me to become a teacher. In a workshop yesterday, when asked about teachers who motivated us to become teachers ,I remembered Dr. Marks and her absorbing and compelling lectures.

Sally Marks was one of the best professors I have ever had. I still cherish the memories of her insightful lectures,30 years later.
