SALLY ELIZABETH MERRILL SUTCLIFFE TRUMANSBURG - June 5, 2007. It's 5:45 a.m., a red sun pierces the hedgerow of black locust blossoms, a dawn chorus of birds--wrens, robins, bluebirds and more--announce a new day. Life is complete except that Sally Elizabeth Merrill Sutcliffe is not with us in...

Not sure what to say?

Sally's beautiful smile and sparkling personality will remain with us despite her untimely passing from this world. My deepest sympathy to Scott and her daughters at this most difficult time. Emma Lou

Dear Scott,Jennie,Lee,Family of Sue Smith, and Sutcliffe family. Sally's sister Sue is a very dear friend of ours, and we would like to extend our deepest sympathy to you for your loss. We did not know Sally, but through Sue, have learned what a beautiful person she was. Our prayer is that you will all know and feel God's presence at this sorrowful time, and that your pain will ease. What a beautiful smile to remember. Our prayers are with you all. Bruce and Debbie Howell, NH

To Scott, Jennie, and Lee - When we think of Sally we think of her wonderful smile and the way that her presence was immediately engaging – it seemed that to know her for a minute was to know for years. She saw the good in people and was a remarkably kind person – the world is poorer for her absence. She lives on in the warmest of memories.

Scott and Darlene

Dear Scott and daughters,

We are very sorry to learn about Sally. I remember reading in the newspaper about all kinds of events in T'burg and it seemed that Sally was always somehow involved in them or making them happen. Your house and gardens were always delightful and a joy to pass by. I hope Sally's memories give you strength in the years ahead. Your daughters are beautiful.

Scott, I'm sad at hearing of the loss of your wife Sally. I never met her but can only imagine knowing you, that she was a gem. I would love to see you again. Possibly a hike or a paddle. be well. Mark Brandhorst

Sometimes a soul burns so brightly with Gods love and joy that they accomplish their goals here early. May her achievements in life and the joy she so generously shared sustain us in our future here without her. We do not hurry the day we will be with her again, we do know her ever present smile will be there to greet us at the gate to the best garden ever.
Scott, Jenny & Lee our thoughts and prayers are with you as well as the rest of her family and friends as we adjust to her...

Dear Scott, Jennie and Lee,
We are so saddened to hear about Sally. She was such a special, warm, caring person. She will be so missed by all who knew her. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you.

Scott and family-You may not remember me but in another chapter of my life we were neighbors, and I have a vivid memory of meeting Sally while we were walking with our infant son up Waterburg Rd. We met Sally just after you had moved in and she was so excited about starting to work on the house and the garden, which of course you both did to beautiful effect. My deepest sympathies, and the obituary was beautifully written.

Scott,

I am so saddened that Sally was not able to recover from her illness. When I first started working at the Lab, Sally worked in the same department. Her cheerfulness made me feel right at home quickly, and I always enjoyed whenever we got a chance to visit with each other at Lab events. It is so unfair. My heart aches.
