Sally Thielen

Sally and I started taking classes at the Flint Institute of Arts at the same time. Under the tutelage of Christine Mair we were both exposed to the wonders of both pottery classes and weaving classes. Eventually Sally moved to and excelled in pottery. But she also focused on beading as well as weaving and was a focus for traditional arts. She was a good friend and she will be missed terribly. May the peace of her memory be with you always.

I have wonderful memories of Sally growing up. She was such a wonderful, caring mother to her children. I remember them building their house and moving next door to us. I was able to speak with her just a few short years ago. She and Bob were wonderful parents. Prayers for Bob, Marcie, Jackie and Bobby. She will surely be missed.

Dear Sally, I will miss her but will always have the dolls she made for me. They hang on the wall by my bed. I will fondly remember the times we spent sharing a laugh at many Flint Art Fairs. She was a unique and loving woman and I considered her a dear friend. My condolences go Bob and family. May her memory be a blessing.
