Sally A. Yaffee

Mrs Yaffee was my 6th grade teacher in 1974 and my favorite teacher of all time! 36 years later she reached out to me and my sister when our mom passed away. Amazing. She was a fantastic woman and made a huge difference in many people's lives.

Though nine years have passed since my mother's death, not one day goes by without me talking to my mom and shedding tears for and with her.

As Mothers day approaches, I remain awestruck by the many wonderful memories shared by my mom's former students and friends. I cannot express my gratitude sufficiently. Again, a heartfelt thanks to all who've "shared" and brought a smile to this daughter's face!

Lisa Davis Lattman I´m just now seeing this as I moved out of the area many years ago. Mrs. Yaffee was my 6th grade teacher more than 50 years ago and I have such fond memories of her. She had such an impact on my life and I adored her and never forgot her or all she did for me. I will cherish those memories always. RIP Mrs Yaffee

Mrs. Yaffee as I called her in 1971 gave me the nickname of “Dutch Denise” since I did a “fantastic job” doing a report on the Netherlands. She was my 6th grade teacher and I remember her fondly.

I had her for 7th grade math at Colonia Middle back in.. 1990?. I remember her well.
