age 96, lifelong resident of Lemont, passed away December 3, 2012. Owned and operated Markiewicz Funeral Home until 1975. Member of the SS. Cyril & Methodius Church Altar & Rosary Society for over 50 years.
Preceded in death by her husband Victor A. Markiewicz; her son Victor R. Markiewicz; and her son-in-law Dennis Marzec.
Survived by her daughter Beverly Marzec; two daughters-in-law Jan and Connie Markiewicz; her grandchildren Nicholas (Fiancée Lidia) and Meredith Marzec, Matthew (Jill) and Lauren Markiewicz and Brian (Heather) Bury; three great-grandchildren Henry, Christopher and Elizabeth; three siblings Harry (Marge) Grabo, Bette (late Jack) Fash and Regina (late Bill) Baumgartner; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services Friday, December 7, 2012, 9:30 a.m. from Markiewicz Funeral Home, P.C., 108 Illinois St. Lemont, to SS. Cyril and Methodius Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment SS. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 2 – 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to SS. Cyril & Methodius Church Capital Campaign, 608 Sobieski St. Lemont, IL 60439.
Sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved Salome. She went to school with Rich's parents. We will be sending a rememberence to St. Cyril's in her name. My God keep you in His embrace during your time of sorrow.

Gosh...What can be said, about a wonderful Aunt, who has lived a magnificent life?? A life enriched with many good events, good conversation, and so many wonderful people. That smile, that twinkle in her eye, that kind word. That is what made her magical. A well loved Aunt, who will not be forgotten. May our memories remain in our hearts forever. God Bless the entire Markiewicz/Marzec Families. May she Rest In Peace!
