I remember Sal walking every day down Leonard Street and always stopping to say Hi and talk for a while. Him and Phyllis would bring lots of things to donate to the GLAS bird club raffles and to give advice on the birds we raised. Oh, and lets not forget the apples during apple season. Such a sweet man. RIP my friend.

My favorite memory of Sal. Playing the Platters music loud enough so l could hear it at my house across from their house. I loved their songs. He made me a cd of all the songs which l still l have. Him and Phyllis loved their birds and other animals. Such gentle people. They were the first ones to welcome me to the neighborhood. I know he is playing his beloved music to our Lord.
