Salvatore J. Branciforte

Salvatore "Bert" J. Branciforte, of Wethersfield, beloved husband of Stephanie (Wolk) Branciforte, died Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Hartford Hospital. Bert was born in Cromwell, CT, son of the late Joseph and Carmelina (Ferla) Branciforte. Prior to his retirement Bert worked for the City of Hartford at Elizabeth Park for many years, he was also a heavy equipment operator. He loved gardening especially his Roses and he took great pride in sharing them with his neighbors, and he was a communicant of Corpus Christi Church in Wethersfield. Bert is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Stephanie (Wolk) Branciforte as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his three brothers; Carl, Alfred, and Sebastian Branciforte and three sisters; Mary Zanke, Theresa Branciforte, and Anna Satterfield. The funeral will be Tuesday, December 31, 2013, 10:30 a.m. from The Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home 1276 Berlin Tpke. Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. in Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Hwy, Wethersfield. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
