Sam, my best childhood friend in Fairview. Bar none. many good laughs, hanging out on wall at corner of Park Ave and 7th street. Many good drinks, and fun tennis. I was so sad to read the news, and sorry that I didn't find out, in time to attend the service. I hadn't seen Sam in a long time. He was a good man, and a seeker of truth. I hope he is at peace. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends. With love.

I don't usually make it a habit of reading the obituaries but oddly enough I did today and was saddened to read that Sam passed away.

I would like to add a few thoughts about the Sam I knew. I was lucky enough as a young kid to have Sam hire me as a painter and he taught me how to paint as well as strip and refinish cabinets and we did a lot of it. He was a good teacher and mentor to me in that regard and he'd always take the time to listen to any questions I might have had or any...
