Not sure what to say?

Sal was a friend to me. He was a man of great faith. and he was filled with love for his family. So many memories - vacations, Christmas eve birthday parties, and many family gatherings always involving good food. I am grateful to be part of his extended family. I will miss him very much.

When I was a kid, Sal was my uncle, a big college guy who took me to the movies and bought me sundaes at Howard Johnson"s. As years went by, Sal became more like a big brother to me. We had a very close relationship, and had many conversations sharing ideas on all aspects of life: family, faith, love, work, politics, philosophy, education, all the things.I loved him, and he loved me. I will miss him.

I remember Sal and Mary Rae were good friends of my parents, Jim and Shirley Riley. They were so loving and fun. The Riley kids remember Sal´s welcoming smile. Please accept our heartfelt sympathy from the Riley family.

Sal was a friend, a great friend to me and to federal libraries. In the 70's and 80's he was a frequent and welcome presence in the office of the Federal Library Committee at the Library of Congress. He shared his extensive knowledge of federal libraries with the Committee enabling staff to provide needed products, services and programs. He was somewhere between and unpaid consultant and an ambassador. In recent years, I have looked forward to receiving Christmas cards from Sal and Mary. ...

Fausto and I will remember Sal forever. His warmth and loving spirit bring a smile to our faces. Our most heartfelt condolences and much love to Mary Rae and the beautiful family he left behind.
