Not sure what to say?

I don't know why I thought of Sal Dezio today, but I did a Google search on him and discovered that he passed away just a few days ago. I lived in Dongan Hills in the late 50s and early 60s. The entire neighborhood grew up stopping at his deli on the way home from school. A loved man in Dongan Hills. I knew his son, so sorry for your loss Joe. Prayers for all of you.

I remember going to the deli from school everyday to pick up the daily news and mirror. Sal always had a smile for all his customers. In later years he was very helpful to my wife and I to buy furniture at his store.
Sal enjoyed going to watch my families midget racecar whenever he could get away from the business.
Rest In Peace dear friend and my condolences to Mickey and the family.
