Not sure what to say?

I'm sorry to be so late with this note, but I only discovered your loss a few minutes ago. I served with Sal in basic training at Ft. Polk, La. He was known in our platoon as the song leader. We were sure he knew the words and melodies of every song ever played on American Bandstand! Aside from that, Sal was a really sincere, wonderful friend to many of us,even those of us from Kansas. I'm sure his passing has left sad feelings with you all, but you should know Sal had a wonderful effect...

I just found out that he passed away. My deepest sympathies. When he worked for The Robert Plan in the SIU Department I was his and Tom Merchel's secretary Karen Schmidt. He use to call me his girl Friday. I loved him just like a family member. He was super excited about winning those Super Bowls Tuckets he won.

Michele and family, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family thought this very difficult time....your Dad will always be with you in your heart and remembering wonderful memories. Bless You, Connie Montalbano(your "ex" work buddy)

Many friends of Sal think he was a great joke/story teller. But when I think of Sal, he was first a loving husband and fantastic father to his children.

Lisa and I are so sorry for your loss.

We offer our condolences. We pray in your behalf, and we offer the hope of welcoming back our loved ones on a Paradise earth. Psm 37:29

Sal and I worked together in West Detectives. Sal was the type of man that put his family first. He was bright, brave, and very funny. He was a good detective and a good friend.

My condolences to family and friends.

I first met Sal in my freshman year it's St Tommy Moore. He sat beside me in the majority of our classes for 4 years. He was one of the most funny guys that I ever knew. No matter what the situation was Sal was always able to find some humor in it and make those around him laugh.
While he stayed in the Philadelphia area and I moved to Jersey we stayed in contact on a fairly regular basis by phone or seeing one another at the various reunions.
Rest in peace my good friend....
And yes...

My sincerest condolences to Nick and the family.
You as well as Sal and Jenny are in my prayers.
