Aunt Betty, Paul, Sam and John and families,
I wish I was not so far away and that I could be there with you. Uncle Sam has always been so good to me and will be sorely missed. He was a wonderful, kind, loving uncle, always ready with a story that was sure to bring a smile to the face. My thoughts are with you. I miss you and love you.

Sam Pontillo was my beloved Great Uncle and one of the greatest men I have ever met. I am proud to say that I am related to him. My deepest sympathies go out to all of his family. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I am very saddened by the news of Mr. Pontillo's death. He brought many happy memories during my childhood. We ate at Pontillo's every Friday and he always cheerfully came to say hello. He will be missed.
