Sam was my Drivers Education Teacher In High School. He was such a great Man as well as a friend. Sometimes we would talk about Football with other friends. I didn't play football for him but I know he was a great coach. Sam you will always be In my Heart and the great times we had with friends was amazing. God Bless you and you sure will be missed

Coach Ruvolo was one of my all-time heroes. He was an outstanding coach but he was also a very caring and sympathetic human being. I had the good fortune being coached by Sam Ruvolo during his early tenure at Cathedral Latin. He connected with all the players whether you were a starter or a sub. Coach Ruvolo had an upbeat personality ; he was demanding but never overbearing or excessive. Coach Sam Ruvolo was my father's first and favorite football coach at John Adams High School in Cleveland, Ohio from 1950-1952. My father, Joseph DeLuca, loved Coach Sam to his own dying days in 2021. They stayed in touch all these years. There were 8 children in our family and all of us were influenced by Coach Sam's life lessons and his inspiration upon my dad. They were only 6 years apart, but Coach Sam taught him so much that my father passed down his lessons to his own children. ...
