Not sure what to say?

Jason and Collin, so sorry to read about the loss of your dad online in the DMN tribute and subsequently of your mom's passing as well. Wonderful people. After living behind them as a kid on Bob-o-link, and your dad hooking up this 11 yo kid and my parents with Superbowl X tickets, we moved away. Then would run into them as an adult thru the years and they were always keenly interested in what I had been up to and would share all of your happenings.

At a dinner party at my home, I sat Karen and Sam at a table with two Aggies. I told them Bud and Wally did not appreciate Aggie jokes. The Aggie roast that ensued kept the entire dinner group in stitches, as did Karen's display of the Long Horn Tennis Shoes she sported. Sam knew I taught at Woodrow and made sure I attended the school's 75th anniversary. Great memories of them both!

What a legend! I really enjoyed his wit and wisdom in sports articles over the years.

He was one of the kindest, most thoughtful people that I was blessed to have in my life. Every memory I have of him is filled with warmth. I can´t remember him without ever having a smile on his face and a great story to tell. I´ll miss you, Dad.

Uncle Sam has been such a joy throughout my life. Always with a smile on his face & a kind gentle demeanor. Not only my Uncle but better yet, my friend. A one of a kind spirit which those who knew and loved him could see. He was humble and honest. Heaven gained a great man. I look forward to seeing him along with other loving family members when God calls me home. Love to my sweet cousins, Jason & Collin. He made you into the wonderful men you are today. Thanks Uncle Sam for all of the great...

Jason, Collin...I extend my deepest sympathies to you on your father's passing. He was a wonderful, loving, giving man and I was fortunate to have him in my life. He had a great influence on me in my early years and I know that same love and caring was showered on you. God bless you...

Thank your Dad for being such a class act and a great role model.

God's Blessings on Sam.
