We have grown to love and respect Sam as our neighbor and friend. Rick will miss shouting over the fence to him when they were in the back yards at the same time, and he was always happy to hear "hey, Fat Boy" -- what are you doing?" There will never be another Sam. Our prayers are with Ruth and her family and please call on us for anything.

To the Bussey family, it was at great privilege to have known such a great man, son, husband, father, and friend. Looking back when I first came to Riverside church in 1962, the Bussey’s were one of the first family I met that have touched my heart in many ways. For many years I worked with Mr. Bussey in the church, it was always a learning experience and a pleasure to work with him. His generous love, exuberant gratitude, and underlying support that he has exhibited to his church community...

To my dear friends, Beverly, Milton, Ladine and Anthony U: I am deeply saddened to hear of your father's homegoing. We on earth are sad but heaven above is rejoicing for another soldier's coming home. I will keep you all in my prayers and close to my heart. Love always,

I first met Mr. Bussey when I was a teenager. I was a fellow member of the Riverside Baptist Church at that time. His daughter, Beverly, and I grew up together and I am proud to say that I am still a close friend of hers and the Bussey family. Our families have stayed in touch over the years and I have observed Mr. Bussey to remain solid as a rock during this time. He was a man of wisdom who would graciously give advice. I always enjoyed attending the lavish banquets that were given in honor...
