Sam Carl

I just read of Sam's passing last year. He was simply the best: the real deal. Love to you Joanie and to all your family. He was one of the first people my sons and I met when we moved to Chicago in 1984: McClurg Court. He was an ace on the basketball court, and I watched him go 1:1 with Michael Jordan. He was a great, real friend.

Hello Carl Family- my condolences on the passing of Sam. Sadly, I was not able to attend his funeral, but I wanted you to know how much I liked Sam, and that he was very kind to me early in my musical career. (In fact , my band played for the birthday party at the Westin back in the '80's- probably his 50th). But more importantly, I met Sam in the mid-'70's at the Mcclurg Ct Health Club.
