Sam Howe Donnell Jr.

I was sorry to hear that Sam (Big Sam) passed away. I was his assistant (and his son Skip's assistant also) at Merrill Lynch for 6 of the 50 years that he worked there. He was the definition of a Southern Gentleman. He had a long, very successful career, loved his wife, family, and friends and was dedicated to his church. I know his family and friends will miss him terribly. Sending condolences to everyone who knew him at this time.

MY HEART GOES OUT TO THE DONNELL FAMILY. I WORKED WITH SAM AT MERRILL LYNCH. HE WAS A BRIGHT SPOT IN MY HEART. IF YOU KNEW SAM HE ALWAYS HAD A JOKE. HE TRIED TO NAME MY DAUGHTER RONETTE, SINCE MY SON WAS NAMED ANRON, AFTER ME AND MY HUSBAND RONNIE. WE SAW EACH OTHER ON A FLIGHT BACK TO BHAM FROM MIAMI, FIRST THING HE ASK WAS HOW IS ANRON AND RONETTE, MY DAUGHTER'S NAME IS ASHLEY..LOL. YOUR FAMILY COULD NOT HAVE A GREATER HUSBAND, FATHER AND GRANDFATHER. I WAS BLESSED TO HAVE KNOWN SAM IN...
