One of my favorite memories of Sam is when he advocated for support of the Edison Ford Winter Estates. His leadership in moving this gem to a private non profit organization enabled both future vision and appropriate preservation. Thank you Sam.

I first Met Sam at his Ford Dealership, when I went there to give him a Massage. He quickly became my all time favorite client! I think back at all of the wonderful conversations we had, mostly he told me how much he loved Kathy, his Kids and Grandchildren, and how much he loved his Church and his God. He always made me laugh and I loved all of his stories. (There is a client-therapist relationship and I’m sorry but I can’t share some of my favs” but believe me they were very entertaining...

Sam was one of a kind. It is the loss of men and women of his generation that are the greatest loss to our country because they cannot be replaced. If I told my personal story of what Sam did for me or meant to me it would simply be one of hundreds of stories all across SW Florida. Sam did what he did out of generosity, loyatly, friendship and patriotism. When I talked to someone close to Sam, I could only muster the words "my heart is broken". Although my heart is broken since Sam has...

Our deepest sympathy to the Galloway family. I had the pleasure of meeting Sam when I began my career at ‘Tween Waters Inn in 1990. I can remember cooking their steak dinner at his Captiva home the night before the Cracker and Old Timers fishing tournaments! Anytime he came in the Old Captiva House he knew that Chef Ted would take good care of him! 30 years later it was great to reconnect with Sam when I saw him at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theater! We have come full circle from the start at...

Sam Jr was “Sambo” to me and my family! I always looked up to him as a child and even more as an adult. We got close during uncle Bobby’s sickness! Sarah and bill fell in love with him and we 3 always loved it when he came to Miami and we were able to spent time with him. We always had lots of laughs talking about the old days and our family. I am going to miss him! Ann Galloway Simpson
