Not sure what to say?

I was greatly saddened upon hearing the news of Sam's passing. I knew him to be a genuinely caring individual who always had time to lend an ear to others, and offer a kind hug and one of those infectious smiles of his. He was humble, and willing to listen to what The Lord had to teach him. Above all, he adored his family., and his little dogs. He is no doubt in a better place, but he will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers to the Gaye family.

sammy rip my friend .. west covina

I knew Sam in elementary and middle school...He lived around the corner from us growing up in West Covina...We played Knee Football together..And the fun we had at Hollecrest Junior High!!!!! RIP my old friend

I met Sam several years ago when my life was in utter distress. He hugged me when I considered myself unworthy of being hugged and told me encouraging words when my thought process was telling me the opposite. He was a Godsend at that particular time in my life and I am beyond shocked and saddened about his passing. I am, however, encouraged and happy that he is now beside Jesus, whom he so believed in. The earth lost a good man, but Heaven gained another good one! Rest in Love, Sam, and...

We met coaching baseball and soccer in Camarillo and became fast friends. We had so much in common and shared some great laughs. My life is far richer for having met him and sharing precious time with our boys. He will truly be missed by many, but Im sure he is sharing his smile and warmth above.

Sam my friend. Since when Elaine and I first showed up at the steps at Crossroads you made us welcome and loved. I will hold our friendship in my heart and remember you till to the end of my end and meet you again.

I didn't know Sam as well as some, but there were a few times that our hearts connected and we made a pack to pray for one another. Dear Gaye Family, May you find comfort in the love and prayers of many. Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near, Still loved, still missed and very dear.

Warm Smile, Big Hug

Sam was larger than life. He greeted everyone with a warm smile and a big hug, which really put a person at ease. We have the assurance that just after Sam's earthly life ended, his spiritual life into eternity began. He was greeted by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, with a warm smile and a big hug.
