Not sure what to say?

I am so sad to hear of "Sammy´s" passing. We lived next door to each other in Waco growing up in the 50´s. Later connected in the 70´s in Dallas and again in the late 90´s. Lots of memories of Sam, his Mom and Brothers. I am heartsick. My condolences to Mary and Lena. Mary Blair Sheffield

I'm so happy that I was able to get to know him and hear the wonderful stories about his life. Sam will be missed. My deepest condolences to all his family. Patrick Kelly

Such a unique human being with a depth, passion and wit that were a blessing upon the world. He lives on in his art, and in the hearts of us lucky enough to have crossed his path! He was such an influence on my life as I was unfolding into who I would become. Holding Mary and Lena close. Noela N Evans

Mary, I was so sorry to read about Sam. I have such good memories of him Evan though I haven´t seen him in Many years. He was so kind with a sparkle in his eye and I love his art which is in my dining room. My best to you and your daughter,

I always loved engaging with Sam. He was one of the funniest guys I've ever known......but it was deeper than mere laughs. He was such an acute observer of life that there was depth and pathos in his funny comments. And though his artwork was abstract there was somehow all of life in it, a sense of nature, the passage of time. His beautiful work was unique, he was unique......I will miss him.

Mary and Lena, I have very fond memories of sweet Sam. My condolences to you.
