Not sure what to say?

I was very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with Sam for over 30 years. Everything I have learned about this industry was through him; what a priviledge to have received that education from such a remarkable business man! He was known for his business expertise, quick wit and negotiating tactics, with just the right touch of kindness. He didn't always want you to see it, but it was there. He made you want to do a great job & not let him down...and that's something that will...

I have missed working at Kasmir for the past year, but most of all, I missed seeing Sam around the office when I was there. His talks at our annual sales meetings always gave great inspiration to the sales staff to be the best fabric suppliers/drapery crafters in the business. His wit, wisdom, and genuine warmth will truly be missed. I will keep the Kasmir family in my prayers.

Even though I had never met Sam, I was well versed in his accomplishments in the textile industry. Kasmir Fabrics has always treated me well as a vender, and the individuals who I have had contact with at Kasmir have always been first class and professional. Sam ran and built an outstanding business that was truly reflective of his sole. Sam passing leaves a huge void in the textile business.

The Wolff family extends heartfelt sympathy to our friend, Susan Kasmir and the entire Kasmir family in this time of mourning. Our company's (Artistic Fabrics)relationship with Kasmir Fabrics has always represented more to us than just a business relationship.
Sincerely yours,

I was privileged to work in sales for Kasmir Fabrics out of St.Louis,MO for 15 years until I retired in July, 2007.
Our annual sales meetings were made up of hard work and special times with Sam's quick wit and no nonsense style. He left this world to soon and will be sorely missed. My sympathy goes out to all the "Kasmir Family".

Sam will be greatly missed. He was blessed with quick witt and humor that everyone he was around enjoyed. He is well known for his wisdom within the fabric industry and has left a great impact that will be remembered for years to come. I am proud to be part of the Kasmir Fabrics team and truly blessed to have worked with Sam.

I always equate Sam with Valentine's day and the wonderful candy we have been receiving for the 22 years I have been a part of the IDD family. He always had a big smile on his face and a wonderful sense of humor. I hope he's up in heaven eating all the chocolate truffles he wants!

When I attended my first IDD Conference 19 years ago Sam Kasmir was one of the first vendors I met. He was then and remained one of most unique colorful and memorable people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. While presenting his new line one year, he remarked that he loved one fabric so much, he "was thinking of buying jewelry for it." I have sorely missed his quick wit and boisterous laugh in the Kasmir booth these last couple of years, I just thought he'd always be there! I am...

I became aquainted with Sam in the mid 1970's, while working in the textile industry in New York City. Sam was a gentle giant, with a brilliant personality, dynamic spirit and always proud to represent his family business. Sam truly touched the lives of everyone he met. I am saddened to hear of his passing and extend my heartfelt condolences to his family.
