Dr Sam ( as my mother, Juanita Collings, called him) was a good man, good father, and great friend. I really liked the fact that we were both born on August 26th. He was wonderful to be around but never interrupt his Alabama football. He certainly loved to watch them play. He will truly be missed, not only by me but also by Beaufort. I know I was certainly blessed to have known him.
