Not sure what to say?

Dear Gail and Gary,
Bob and I are very sad to know of Sam's passing. we have the honor of knowing him for a few years. We will miss scooping some chocolate chip ice cream for him.

Dear Gail and Gary,
I worked for Mr. Sam and Mr. Ben and Mr. (Wilbur)Gale, Wayne Showden and Gladys Bauer at the Tracy St. Store and at the Landing store (1958-61). I once baby sat for you. All of these bosses were very kind to me, I credit my work ethic, which I believe is well developed, to their exemplary behavior. I greatly admired their concern for their staff, their hard work and their terrifically good humor. Also, I found Sam's support of musicians quite wonderful.

It's after midnight...January 24th...just got back in the USA from an 8-day vacation. I'm so sorry to hear of Samala's passing; he was an incredible, beautiful, generous, warm, wonderful guy. My love and sympathy to Sammy's family.

Gail and Richard, I am sorry to hear of the passing of a great man. Mr. Sam as I first called him at about the age of 6 was so nice. I can still remember the free cookie he would give me when my family would shop on the Landing. Later when I was in college he would always seem to have a little something for me to do for extra money, when I was off work at the Bagel and Bagel. He will be missed. Sam and your family are in my prayers.
God Bless

Dear Gail and Dr. Richard Lozoff. Very sorry to read about Sam's death. You know we are distally related through my daughter-in-law, Sharon Friedman. Sharon's mother, Rosalie Rosenberg from Dallas was a Pasternak. Rosalie and Sam were first cousins. Best wishes to you and your loved ones for Health, Happiness, and Years. Dr. Morris and Charlotte Friedman
